I wanted to let Hinckley CRC members know that, for the second year running, The Tour of Britain and The Prostate Cancer Charity are bringing the 'Tour Ride' to Stoke-on-Trent on September 26th. I apologise if you are all already aware of the event or, better still, have already signed up for it! But, just in case not, the Tour Ride offers the opportunity for cyclists to ride an official stage of the Tour of Britain. The Pro Tour Ride is 161km, the Challenge Tour Ride is 80km, and there will also be a choice of 5-25km rides for families to enjoy in and around Longton Park. The event raises money to help fight prostate cancer, which continues to kill a man every hour in the UK. Full information and sign-up is available at http://www.tourride.co.uk, or call 020 8222 7131. If you would be kind enough to share news of the Tour Ride with your members, I would be so grateful. And please don't hesitate to contact me if I can provide any more information. In addition, if you'd like to put a team together, I'd be more than happy to arrange a free place for the team organiser, so just let me know. With real thanks, Victoria Victoria Leigh for The Prostate Cancer Charity Stoke-on-Trent Tour Ride 2010 vjleigh@gmail.com 07946 106581 |
